In spring 2021, My brother who is also an illustrator and I were selected to conceptualize, design and execute a permanent mural for Cambria Solutions located in the heart of Downtown Sacramento. Inspired by our heritage we were compelled to take inspiration from the beautiful city of Ancient Teotihuacán. The largest city of pre-Columbian America, situated about 40 km (25 miles) north-east of Mexico City. Built c.300 bc, it reached its zenith c. 300–600 ad, when it was the center of an influential culture which spread throughout Meso-America. we chose to paint the axolotl, representing a symbol of prosperity and uniqueness. The species was originally found in several lakes, such as Lake Xochimilco underlying Mexico City. Legend states that the Axolotls got their name from the ancient goddess Xolotl; their goddess of fire and lightning.

"If the doors of perception were cleansed everything would appear to us as it is, infinite." - William Blake

Drawing from life has been something I've incorporated to my daily routine over the years, this practice keeps my creativity in a flow state. Current personal projects often include images that incorporate organic forms like flora with platonic patterns, a symbolic metaphor that explores ancient hermetic teachings of the mind.
