The deeper I go into the forest the closer I feel to the truth. I often hike for hours to find a place where there are no trails, no signs and no "noise". This is where my ideas are contemplated and refined.
When it’s foggy I see everything more clearly. In the misty Northwest, the mystery of the existence is all around you. It is an environment that compels me to dream outloud.
Sometimes I think of my studio as an "alchemy" laboratory, where smears of color are transformed into ideas. A blank canvas can be compelled to share thoughts about who we are and our connection to each other, the natural world and the universe.
