I made this lamp on the pottery wheel out of white stoneware clay and then altered the shape using hand building techniques. The finish is a matte sand colored glaze with a light pink and grey texture. The lamp works fantastically on a side board or night table. The lamp is 42cm high and has got a diameter of 25cm. The lamp base is 26cm high and 22cm wide. It comes without lightbulb (E27 fixture).

Due to the elevated shipping costs I decided not to include the lamp shade. You will be able to find a similar lamp shade in a shop nearby. However if you are interested in acquiring the lamp shade in the picture please get in touch with me and I will give you a quote for the additional shipping cost. There is no lightbulb included.

Handmade functional tableware and funky sculptural ceramics

Inspired by the waves of the ocean and the textures of the coastline, I throw my pieces on the pottery wheel and then alter them using hand building techniques. I like to experiment with shapes and I develop my own glazes. Opening the kiln after the firing is always thrilling because only then you know if your idea worked out.
