Contemporary Art

Born and raised in Belgium, I studied Art History and Design in Brussels.
I emigrated to Ontario, Canada in 1986, and lived in Texas, USA from 1996 to 2019. I currently live and work near Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico.

My work concerns intellectual concepts around the strong geometric variance of circular and linear form. Often minimal and monochrome, the focus is on subtle instabilities of light and shadow against texture, depth, media, color. The compositions rely on transcendental guidance and pure emotion.
Contemporary abstract and minimalist in aspect, sometimes suggestive of Italian "Spazialismo", the treatment of various media is equally drawn from enduring art historical tradition as well as innovative experimentation.

My artwork has been regularly included in various exhibitions at several private and public art galleries in Ontario, Canada and Texas, USA and has been featured in published reviews and interviews since 1990.
Artworks in numerous private and corporate collections in several countries.
