I am a "Boomer," and I grew up in the era of Mohamud Ali; for those millennials who haven't ever heard of Ali, he was and is still the greatest showman and talented heavyweight champion of the world boxer to date. In his own words, he floated like a butterfly but stung like a bee. He was a man of great conviction and stood against the Vietnam War and Black inequality. When I think of March 8th, 1971, my eighteenth birthday, and the night Ali defended his world championship in one of the most brutal fights of the period., I can't help but think of having dinner in Rocco's in Little Italy, New York, an hour before the great fight was set to start. The artwork features the famous March 8th Fight Poster, "The Thrilla from Manilla."
