This work is 36X48X2 on birch wood panel. Lucious shade trees in some ethereal forest atop a hill of golden grasses. White pristine blocks of white in mid ground suggest broken rock, or could it be water with jutting strips of land. Rust, gold, rose, and turquoise, with a touch of lavender suggest timeless seasons and personal sensibilities for recognizing the overlap of time and seasons.
This work was created on hand made birchwood panel using a unique combination of oil and cold wax medium, mixed and then applied with squeegees and brayers. Layer upon layer went into this with erratic and spontaneous marks depicting my mood at the moment. It virtually glows under great lighting and looks good in artificial and natural light because of the layers of translucent colors applied with the special tools.
