This is the last of a series of designs that I recently hand sculpted. Each is carved from an 11" x 11" panel of solid mahogany and then ebonized with a black dye. I burnish and lightly distress the panels to allow the rich mahogany grain to show through in places before finishing the pieces with several coats of an oil/wax. I have recreated this particular design in larger- 15" x 15" - panels as well. I welcome custom requests in creation of this and other sculptures I offer.
Can be reproduced in different sizes. Commissions of new designs welcome.
