Black Cat is a swanky new supper club in the Tenderloin, equal parts speakeasy music club and late-night filling station, with a full dinner menu featuring American comfort dishes served until 1a.m.
The trendy, 100-seat space is the brainchild of New York restaurateur Fritz Quattlebaumon, and is his first San Francisco restaurant. The interior, designed by Craige Walters, features black walls with photo murals of historic buildings in the area, and a large upstairs lounge and bar with plate-glass windows that open onto the street. The dimly lit main restaurant is on the ground floor, which features a second bar and a stage that hosts nightly live jazz performances on a stage flanked by leather and velvet banquettes.
