A New York style icon since the 1920s, the Paramount is a boutique hotel located on Times Square that has managed to constantly reinvent itself for each new generation.
Stepping into the lobby today is like entering a chic New York party where impeccably dressed guests sit on over-sized sofas sipping cocktails and listening to the live DJ spinning from a booth above the stainless steel fireplace.
The hotel’s aesthetic combines its art-deco heritage with modern design, creating a sexy urban atmosphere that embodies old New York glamour. Traces of the the 1990 Phillipe Starck redesign can be felt throughout, but the Paramount’s most recent transformation was completed with the 2013 reopening of the Diamond Horseshoe, which was first operated in the same space by eccentric theater impresario Billy Rose in 1938. The New York supper club was known for dinner theaters, vaudeville-style reviews, and a chorus of showgirls called “Billy Rose’s long-stemmed beauties.”
The Paramount's 597 guestrooms vary dramatically in size from the "Broadway Petite" for solo travelers to the "Couture Suite" which is larger than most New York City apartments. All rooms are dramatically styled and boast high-tech amenities like HD TV and iPod docks. The hotel is remarkably quiet for its location at the epicenter of New York nightlife.
