As an Architectural Designer having graduated from Boston Architectural College, I have always had an affinity for design seeped in the aesthetics of Biomorphic Architecture where form follows nature. The juxtaposition of concrete and cement reshaped into an organic form is what inspires me the most. Our studio was started during the pandemic and we use a unique process of shaping and bending white cement and concrete through various latex moulds. The process continues as we shape and create the rest by hand. My early childhood of growing up on the Indian Ocean on the east coast of South Africa, installed an appreciation for the diversity of nature and different cultures. My design sensibility stems from the appreciation of architecture and the natural world and how to blur the lines between two.Follow us at #bellandchestnut and www.bellandchestnut.com
