Tanya Vacarda is a fresco and Italian plaster artist based in Holywood, County Down. Building on the centuries-long tradition, Tanya have honed her unique techniques to develop original and naturally tactile textures that you can take with you, literally.

Every piece of art she creates is individual, born from love for authenticity and mindfully nurtured to take its shape. Tanya experiments with various plaster compounds and techniques to create intricate fresco, plaster paintings and rollable murals that capture dynamism with stillness, quietness with depth and movement. Each work is handcrafted with layers of pigmented Italian plaster until the final image is revealed and then finished with acrylic paint, ink or embroidery. All her fresco pieces and intricate details are created with an 8-inch decorative plaster trowel.
