"Perfection is achieved, not when there is nothing more to add, but when there is nothing left to take away"
Sam Hopkins is an emerging WA sculptor working from small intimate pieces to large scale public artwork. Hopkins explores the balance between human behaviour and nature, our impact and pushing the possibilities of material form. A process requiring heavy machinery and careful handwork merges man and machine. Exhibited across Australia, He is represented in many private, corporate, and public collections, including Brookfield Properties, Mindaroo Foundation and City of Melville. He has received multiple awards, a highlight being the WA Sculpture Scholarship at Sculpture By The Sea Cottesloe 2020.
