Richard’s love for travel has afforded him many opportunities to shoot different cities and cultures. He loves iconic architecture, whether it’s ancient or modern, and is always focused on documenting beautiful structures in each new city he visits. Richard loves using techniques such as tilt shift, vertical panoramas and time slice to present our everyday world in an altered visual context. More About This Creator

Q&A

How do your pieces come to life? Tell us one interesting thing about your creative process?

"Some of my work pulls you in to see exactly what you are looking at because you have never seen work like this before, especially my Time Slice series. I put 36 photos together by slicing them into one single image showing the change from day to night, it is a beautiful way of seeing architecture."

"Depending on which photo they are looking at the feelings might be different. My main goal is for people to view the world in a new and unique way, especially with the iconic buildings around the world."

Q&A

What funny moments, unexpected surprises, or obstacles have you encountered?

"People are always asking me about my photos when I am shooting using my tripod, taking the same photo at sunset. They have no idea of what I am trying to do and it is funny and nice to be approached with questions."
