"From Realism to Abstract, Ready-to-Ship and Custom Paintings"
I've been painting since I was about 10 years old, so I always knew I wanted to go to art school. I studied fine art at Bowling Green State University and graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Art with a Major in Graphic Design. Since then, I have worked full time as a graphic artist as well as a commission painter. I have created numerous custom pieces for a variety of clients with differing tastes. Because of my commission experience, my work shows a variety of styles and techniques. When creating abstract, I really enjoy using a substantial amount of textures. Often, I use it's modeling paste, sand or fabric. Dramatic color and contrast are frequent across the body of my work. Most of my inspiration comes from my love of nature.
Techniques My primary medium is acrylic paint on canvas with heavy textures. Sometimes I use modeling paste, sand, or fabric to add three-dimensional interest.
