Lena Kolambet was born in Kyiv, Ukraine. Currently. she lives and works in Seville, Spain. In 1985, Lena graduated from Lviv Polytechnic University. She studied painting under the supervision of Valentin Barskov, a talented artist and a teacher of the Odesa Grekov Art School. Additionally, Lena completed the course “Design-methodology. Inspiration management” taught by Saint Petersburg State University online. In her works, Lena depicts an inner world of a person, his hopes, and thoughts in the context of all humankind's problems. Her paintings present a unique combination of abstract, figurative forms and drawing with elements of surrealism. She uses a mixed painting technique with acrylic, pastel, ink, charcoal, and oil for greater expressiveness.
