Jeremy Kamiya is a nationally published, award-winning designer/maker who creates solid-wood furniture pieces without using nails, screws or stains.
"As an artist, I aim to create special pieces that invite the viewer to see furniture as more than just utilitarian. I take a minimalist approach that emphasizes form and proportion. I don’t use stains in my work because I want to honor the natural beauty of the woods I select.
As a craftsman, I am informed by construction methods used in ancient Japanese temples that still stand today - A woodworking tradition called 'Sashimono', meaning, making furniture without the use of nails or screws."
