"Vincent" Series Carved Vessels - Vases & Vessels

Each vessel is wheel thrown with a light or dark stoneware. A slip is applied in a contrasting clay, much of which will be removed during the carving process. Each design incorporates sgraffito, carving, and bas relief in executing the design, which may include landscape objects or be more abstract. My signature 'crazy green' glaze is the main glaze component on the outside, and the results of the glaze will vary from kiln to kiln, depending on the iron content of the clay and slip, placement in the kiln, and each individual firing.
