"Discarded Artifacts No.2 - The Remnant Series"
This is the second acoustic panel in a limited series of sound dampening wall panels made from hempcrete. My studio work is currently experimenting with hempcrete as a natural alternative to common residential building materials that pose harm to the environment.
The sculptural element of these panels is made from wood collected over a number of years while I was employed at my first furniture studio, which was a formative influence in my current practice. These pieces were saved from the landfill in the hopes of displaying their beauty for an audience.
Once the collection of wood has been exhausted, this series will be concluded.
Each piece is individually numbered and signed and comes with a certificate of authenticity.
